So I brought this “beast”. Ford Fiesta 1.4i Style Climate..

i hate my life at the moment….

I really don’t have to say anything else do I?

This has really taken it out of me, and needless to say I’ve been chasing people with sticks or at least cameras pointed at their heads.

The model of camera I have been using at work, is fantastic, but is totally out of my price league only a prince could afford one and then he’d scoff at the pictures from it,  it produces nef or jpeg files, the nef files are easier to work with but are really large.

I’d never thought I’d have a good word to say about digital!

I’ve also been rediscovering Rilo Kiley, this band make me extemely happy and they are not a very complicated band.

I am also recovering from a very heavy night out, the sheer amount of JD and vodka in one night leaves something to the imagination.

Anyway, I <3 my macbook still, it’s making me very happy, but I need to get some more software for it.

I’m thinking this time rather than Adobe CS2, another programme called Apperture…

anyway more money I don’t have….

I work in a photography department for a well known organisation, we have our own little network and we aren’t allowed to be connected to a the main one for security purposes, we aren’t allowed to be connected to the internet and we don’t have e-mail accounts because we aren’t on the main network and quite frankly we don’t need it either.

Today my PC (makes sick face) broke, worse than any other PC I have had the “pleasure” of working on.

I was working on a project using Photoshop and Bridge and it was slower than Keane, windows explorer wasn’t working and kept crashing. After twenty mins of this happening it was nearly time for the “I WIN” switch.

For those not familar with the “I WIN” switch, it’s more commonly known as a plug socket, it’s credited to my mother who after battling with the PC for more than thirty mins, pulled out the plug and shouted “I WIN” very loudly at the PC.

Anyway enough rambling. I was starting to loose my temper and the network drives kept being lost by the PC so I kept having to remap the network paths so I could save/access the phots and keep up with the amount of work being passed my way.

I made the stupid decision to call the helpdesk, the phone call went like so.

HD: Good afternoon Helpdesk.
K. I need some help, my PC keeps crashing, it’s telling me Windows Explorer has a bug and after this Photoshop and Bridge won’t work.
HD. OK, where are you?
K. Photography.
HD. We have a photography dept?
K. Yes, it’s part of Media Services, we have our own network.
HD. You do?
K. Yes, because they won’t let us on the main network.
HD. Are you sure?
K. Yes. Look please can someone please look at my PC, it’s whirring now.
HD. Can I have your username?
K. Yes. Gives username.
HD. We don’t have you as a user on the main network.
K. Yes because we have our own network.
HD. You do?
K. Yes, please can you send X over, he knows about us.
HD. He’s not on site today, I’ll log your call, it’ll be 1- 24 hours before we can sort this stuff out, we’ll have to call someone else as well. Your call has been logged under my username and I’ve put your problems on it along with where you are and we’ll try and call X before Friday. Your call referance number is xxxxxx.
K. Thanks, I think. Cheerio.

I found X’s mobile number in our book and called him. He came straight over and fixed all the problems. I BEAT A HELPDESK!!!

I have also become rather addicted to my Xbox, crumbs and have found the best place in the world to buy games. Blockbusters, Cash converters and WH Smiths, they are rather cheap .

I was in tears last night because of my dear friend departing and it’s still effecting me!

I have been reading the Journals of Sylvia Plath again to help me cope and it’s not very nice feeling, I’m really frightened that I will  loose it again when he goes. The feeling is all consuming and it feels the end is very near for everything.

Basically,  I think I’m having a bit of an early mid life crisis. I started work at office x and I think that all these programmes have it down to a tea, people in “normal” offices* seem to be caked in orange foundation and full of people I have spent my entire life trying avoid.

I feel so alienated! I totally hate it. People say give it a fair chance but I don’t know if I can, it just doesn’t seem to be something I can see myself doing for the next twenty or so years.

gah……

I’ve got one hour left in my job, till monday, and I haven’t laughed so much in ages, my sides actually hurt!

I’ve exchanged e-mail addresses with some of the people and have some of their blogs in my favorites so I’ll still know whats going on.

I’ve started a new project in effect “pimping” my bog standard Ka, I’ve found some leather seats on ebay for the Ka and I’m really interested in starting all that shizzle, not so much Tim Westwood style but Kate style so it’ll pretty much be a lack of effort, get some one else to do it.

 I don’t want to lower it and that, but some alloys would be nice……. A modded Ka looks crap, well I think it does!

hehehe.

I can’t shift this cough, it’s making me so ill, when I cough I throw up, and repeat until I feel drained and so tired. Then my back starts hurting again.

On slightly better news the garage delivered my Ka and tis happy again.  I missed it’s 1.3 engine and my japanese themed cockpit.

Today I searched autotrader for something that would suit me as the Ka is perfect but after driving the Corsa, it seems to hurt my back even going 0.5 miles.

So far I’ve got the Yaris which is really all I’m allowed, the boy loves his Japanese cars!!!!

I want to get better all I’ve been doing is re arranging my music and sorting out the filing system better…..
